The Neptune passenger shipping company offers boat trips around the harbour and day trips along the river Pegnitz. The harbour trip takes 2½ hours and a competent guide provides the passenger with interesting insights into the harbour and its function. Every Thursday and Sunday there are boat trips starting from the Gebersdorf (Hügelstrasse) in Nuremberg and stopping at the Hafenstrasse, Forchheim, Fürth and Erlangen.
