The main station in Nuremberg can be found in the south- east corner of the Nuremberg old town district, directly opposite the Royal Gate (Königstor). It is a through station with 21 platforms and is the biggest station in northern Bavaria. Besides this, it forms the main hub of the Nuremberg public transport system.
