The wonderful zoo in Nuremberg is one of the largest zoos in Europe. The sweeping site situated in the middle of the Reichswald on a sunny southwest slope, has a valuable population of over 2,400 animals with more than 350 species. The children can make acquaintance with domestic animals in the petting zoo. A narrow- gauge railway, a scaled down model of the first German train the “Adler”, runs through the zoo from Easter to October.
