St. Lorenz

The Lorenzkirche was built between 1250 and 1477, nearly completely destroyed in the 1945 bombings and rebuilt in 1952. The Lorenzkirche is not only a known for its wonderful architecture, it also houses a great number of valuable, religious works of art, e.g. three organs, 10 altars, and fantastic stained glass windows, most of which originated in the 15th century. The tabernacle (1493) and the hail mary angel (1517) round off a fascinating interior.
