The “Ehekarussell”, also known as the “Ehebrunnen” can be found near the “Weissen Turm”, the White Tower. The fountain shows six different aspects of married life from young lovers to the deathbed. It is based on the poem by Hans Sachs, written in 1541, "Das bittersüsse eheliche Leben", the bittersweetness of married life. It is a well- loved meeting point in Nuremberg, especially during the fine summer months.
