Der Handwerkerhof

This is a very special Nuremberger attraction with its very own flair. The Handwerkerhof (the craftsmen's courtyard) can be found between the Königstor and the Frauentor near the main station. It is a tribute to Nurembergs traditional reputation as the city of craftsmen. Here you can meet many a Nuremberger along with the tourists who are under the spell of the “little town around the Königstor”. Countless small shops invite you to browse through their wares, for example a gingerbread (Lebkuchen) bakery. There's also a wine tavern and a sausage eatery for your shopping break.
