Every year on the Wöhrder Wiese from May to September around 60 stands invite visitors to take a journey through the world of the senses. The organisation of this event nominates a different theme every year. Hugo Kükelhaus (1900- 1984) described his experience of the workings of the senses thus, “The visitor experiences how the eye sees, the ear hears, the nose smells, the skin feels, the fingers feel, the foot understands, the hand grips, the brain controls, the lungs breathe, the blood pulses, the body moves…”
