The Nuremberger “Altstadt” festival takes place every year during the third week of September on the Hans- Sachs- Platz. A small market village of 46 miniature timbered buildings offer a huge spectrum of food, from Nuremberger specialities to delicacies from all over the world. The supporting entertainment programme, ranging from folklore to jazz and a fishermen's joust, is for free! There is also a children's programme on the Hauptmarkt and the Insel Schütt.
