The Nuremberger Burgtheater is a non- profit organization “zur Förderung der Kunst und Kultur” (for the promotion of art and culture) in Nuremberg. The main emphasis of the programme is in cabaret, satire, entertainment and comedy. Classical music and world music is, however, also included from time to time as are authors' readings and matinees. The Burgtheater is also the podium for local variety artists.
